Introduction to Lawn Bowling (& Croquet)

INTRODUCTION:

You can join either the lawn bowling program and/or the croquet program for a $60 fee.

The program will welcome new participants, provide a thorough introduction to the games, and provide newcomers with the desire and confidence to play with other club members.
Full season club members can also take this as a refresher – for free, but need to register online.

Graduates of the program will be able to deliver a bowl and/or play croquet and know how to practice and seek additional coaching, know and understand the basic rules and etiquette of the games, and be competent enough to be warmly welcomed for a game with our other members.

Learn to Lawn Bowl Program 2024!

Starting in late May.  Our $60 fee includes:

– all equipment and lessons – by qualified coaches
– one month membership
– thorough introduction to the game, rules and etiquette
– 5 different in-person outdoor lessons that participants complete late May to early June.
– equipment use
– safety instruction
– emailed lessons and links to instructional videos
– rules, etiquette, strategy, etc.
– confidence to join existing members in a game
– unlimited access to the facility after program completed throughout June 2024

Lessons Schedule for 2024:

Four different bowls lessons and one golf croquet lesson are offered at different times on various dates:

LAWN BOWL LESSONS:

  • Wednesday & Friday 10 AM – noon, May 22, 24, 29 & 31  OR
  • Tuesday & Thursday afternoon 1:30 PM – 3:30 May 21,23,28 & 30  OR
  • Tuesday & Thursday evening 6:30 PM – 8:30 May 21, 23, 28 & 30

CROQUET LESSONS:

  • One two-hour Croquet lesson:
    May 27 1:30 PM  OR  May 27 6:30 PM  OR  May 28 9:30 AM
