Introduction to Lawn Bowling (& Croquet)

INTRODUCTION:

You can join either the lawn bowling program and/or the croquet program for a $60 fee.

The program will welcome new participants, provide a thorough introduction to the games, and provide newcomers with the desire and confidence to play with other club members.
Full season club members can also take this as a refresher – for free, but need to register online.

Graduates of the program will be able to deliver a bowl and/or play croquet and know how to practice and seek additional coaching, know and understand the basic rules and etiquette of the games, and be competent enough to be warmly welcomed for a game with our other members.

Learn to Lawn Bowl Program 2025!

Starting in late May.  Our $60 fee includes:

– all equipment and lessons – by qualified coaches
– one month membership
– thorough introduction to the game
– 4 different in-person outdoor lessons that participants complete late May.
– equipment use
– safety instruction
– emailed lessons and links to instructional videos
– rules, etiquette, strategy, etc.
– confidence to join existing members in a game
– unlimited access to the facility after program completed throughout June 2025

Lessons Schedule for 2025:

Four different bowls lessons and/or one golf croquet lesson are offered at different times on various dates:

LAWN BOWL LESSONS:

  • Tuesday & Thursday afternoon 1:30 PM – 3:30 May 20, 22, 27 & 29  OR
  • Wednesday & Friday 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM, May 21, 23, 28 & 30 

CROQUET LESSON:

  • One two-hour Croquet lesson:
    Monday May 26 1:30 – 3:30 PM  OR  Tuesday May 27  9:30 – 11:30 AM
